Cabinet YBBN Inc ("YBBN", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through ybbn.ca, why, how we protect it and what rights you have, in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, federal).
1. Person in charge of personal information protection
Dr Yaovi Bouka, President, holds this role.
Email: [email protected] · Phone: +1 514 898 0390
Mailing address: 2093 Rue de la Victoire, Laval, Quebec H7M 3E7
2. Information we collect
| Information | Source | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, profile (company, investor, etc.), content of your message | Contact form, email or phone | To respond to your request and follow up on our exchanges |
| IP address, as a hash created with a secret key | Form submission | To limit abusive submissions (anti-spam). The IP address itself is not kept; the hash is deleted after 24 hours. |
| Hash of your email address and message | Form submission | To detect duplicate submissions. The content is not kept in this hash, which is deleted after 24 hours. |
| Hosting server logs (IP address, date, pages viewed) | Site visit | Security and proper operation of the site, according to the host's configuration |
We collect only what is necessary for these purposes. Please do not send sensitive information (financial, banking, identity) through the form.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
This site does not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels or profiling services. It loads no third-party resources: fonts are hosted on our own site, so your IP address is not sent to a font provider. A cookie consent banner is therefore not required. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent beforehand.
4. Consent
By ticking the box on the form, you consent to our using the information you provide to respond to your request. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [email protected]. We will not send you newsletters or promotional messages without your separate express consent, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
5. Disclosure and hosting
We do not sell or rent your information. It may be processed by our hosting and email service providers, solely to provide those services. Some of these providers may be located outside Quebec or Canada; in that case, before any disclosure we ensure the information would receive adequate protection, including by contract. We may also disclose information where required by law.
The site and the email service are hosted on a server located in the United States. Information sent through the contact form or by email may therefore be processed and stored in the United States and is then subject to the laws of that country, which may differ from those of Quebec.
6. Retention and destruction
We keep messages for as long as necessary to handle your request and maintain the relationship, and for no more than three (3) years after the last exchange, unless the law requires longer retention. They are then securely destroyed or anonymized. You may ask us to destroy them at any time by writing to [email protected]. Anti-spam hashes are deleted after 24 hours.
7. Security
We apply reasonable safeguards: encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to received messages, and limits on automated submissions. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, however; avoid including sensitive information in your message.
8. Confidentiality incidents
We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (and, where applicable, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada) as well as the affected individuals.
9. Your rights
On request, you may: find out whether we hold information about you and access it; have inaccurate information corrected; withdraw your consent; request that we cease disseminating or that we destroy your information, in the cases provided by law. Write to the person in charge at [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you believe your rights are not being respected, please contact our person in charge first. You may also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. Changes
We may amend this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
